A Soccer Event for AYSO Region 889 Volunteers

It's a tournament designed just for our wonderful Region 889 Volunteers. All coaches, assistant coaches, referee's and board members are invited to join in the fun - get on a soccer team with other like-purposed volunteers of our Region and participate in a soccer tournament under the lights in October.

What's the hoopla about?



• Well, it's a party! There's music, sponsors, food, fun, laughter, things for the kids to do & lot's of entertainment for the adults.

What did the 2011 Glory Days Cup look like?



• It looked a ton like a party, a bit like soccer, and a lot like city pride!
• There were 14 teams of adults, split up into two divisions: The Competitive Wannabe's and the Recreational Sandbaggers.
• On Saturday night all 14 teams played 2 games each. The games are abbreviated, and ALL officiated by our Youth Referee's!
• Based on a point system for wins & goals, we ended up with a Sunday Semi-Finals bracket & a Finals game in each division.
• The winning teams were: "Quick Silvers" (Recreational Sandbagger Division) & "We Can Even Win With Laderer" (Competitive Wannabe Division)

Who sponsored the Glory Days Cup?



• We had 2 Gold Level Sponsors: Chick-Fil-A and Renaissance ClubSport in Aliso Viejo
• Additionally we have 5 Silver Sponsors: Miller Braces, Professional Community Management, Ballpark Pizza, Daphne's California Greek, The Perfect Impression
• 5 Bronze Sponsors: Blue Wave Micro, Wishing Watch, Vizari, Walgreens, and Pocket Radar

What does the Glory Days Cup cost?



• Combining the gifts of the Sponsors we made this event FREE to all teams and spectators. All teams received a technical fabric team shirt, a tournament pin & the chance to win the Cup. Actually, a coffee cup - that is the prize... but it's a really good cup! All teams and spectators were given free food, drinks, fruit, games, booths, DJ'd music and prizes. The winners of the tournament have their team names engraved on a MONSTER sized trophy!

Can I sponsor the Glory Days Cup?



• Sponsorship information for the 2012-2013 Season of AYSO Region 889 will be coming out soon. Sponsorship of our region will include a sponsorship of the Glory Days Cup 2012 in October, and invites to several other region-wide events over the course of the year.
